Chicago Teen
Composers Studio
The Chicago Teen Composers Studio is a new 4 week program for young composers ages 15-18.
Students will work directly with professional composers and musicians to write original music for a trio ensemble. The program will meet on Sundays from 2pm-5pm at Bethany United Church of Christ, and will conclude with a recorded concert on the final evening.
To apply, students must submit a Google Form with a sample score, teacher recommendation, and a questionnaire, which will be available on 9/1. Applications close 10/1, and students will be notified of their participation by 10/15. The program begins on 11/14.
The Chicago Teen Composers Studio is tuition free and open to any student who is interested in composition.

WHO QUALIFIES?

Students 15-18 years old are welcome to apply.

Students who can demonstrate proficiency with music notation software (eg. MuseScore, Noteflight) or by writing by hand.
