My name is Alissa Voth and I am a composer and visual artist based in Chicago, IL.

I compose contemporary concert music for ensembles and soloists. I work with extended techniques and electroacoustic elements to create a wide range of musical landscapes, spanning from spacious and ambient to energetic and theatrical.

I also create paper art from my collection of vintage magazines and photography books. I am particularly interested in house motifs and nature photography from the 1990's, which I use in my ongoing project Peripheral.

Aside from music and art, I enjoy teaching composition, book binding, and road trips. I am also a PhD candidate at Northwestern University and composition faculty at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee's High School Composition Intensive.
